GMS Summer Experience

GMS Summer Experience

The GMS Summer Experience offers a supportive learning community that allows a girl to discover her strengths and express her voice through a variety of interdisciplinary activities that include engineering, design, performance art, tinkering, making, and scientific inquiry. To ensure that the girls are fully immersed in the GMS experience, the summer program is created and taught by GMS faculty.

Age range: Rising 5th to rising 8th grade girls

Girls may enroll Session I, Session II, or both.

Session I:  Performing Arts and Design            June 19th - June 30th

Girls will take ownership of putting on a full musical production. Over the course of the two weeks they will have opportunities to design, create, build, and act by taking on the responsibility of set design and construction, choreography, stage management, performance, and costume design. Families are invited to attend the performance on June 30th at 5:30pm.

Cost: $1050 per 2 week session

Hours: 9:00am to 3:00pm, M-F

Session II: STE(A)M & Makers                          July 10th - July 21st

Girls can draw on their critical thinking and problem solving skills to complete projects that are rooted in practical, hands-on exploration. Through collaboration and inquiry, girls will engage in the iterative process to explore metalsmithing, woodworking, engineering, science, mathematics, and the arts. Our capstone project will be centered around designing and building single-person boats and devices that the girls will test on an all-day field trip to the beach.

Cost: $1050 per 2 week session

Hours: 9:00am to 3:00pm, M-F

ENROLL HERE!

We will be completing facilities improvement projects over the summer, which will not impact the curriculum. This means we will be reducing our enrollment numbers this year, so spots will be limited.

Space is limited, register your daughter today! We will send confirmation of your enrollment. If the camp is full we will add you to the waitlist.
